Jum Sau Counters Pak Da

Your partner's Lap'ed hand, as soon as it is released for your Pak Sau technique, swings back and up to a Kiu Sau position above the level of your striking arm, and then Jum Sau's your striiking arm back and into your centreline to collapse your attack.

The energy for the Jum Sau is generated by your partner's elbow sinking as it shoots forward, and applied by their hand moving from its horizontal Kiu Sau position to a vertical Mann/Wu Sau position.

Any tension in your Jing Jeung/Kuen as it travels will allow your partner's Jum Sau to collapse your elbow in close to your body, preventing any counter you may make, and maybe even pull your body structure out of its correct alignment.
